A Skater Dress Anyone?

Saturday was my God sister’s first communion, and in anticipation, I had planned the perfect outfit, down to my shoes. Except after days of constant rain, the day of the communion the weather was 57 degrees, and I was FREEZING!

I had to wear stockings; I could not find the coffee color stocking and settled for the tan, which is not a great match to my skin tone. I wore the stockings for the false sense of extra protection they give me against the cold. I took the first couple of pictures with my winter coat until I could brace the cold.

I bought this dress from, and it was full price, but I liked how I looked and felt in it, that I had to get it. It’s a skater dress which I love because it’s effortless, styling is optional/minimal. The bell bottom sleeves gave it a classic and fashionable look. My shoes are Lauren Conrad, and they were five dollars! this was just a lucky find. I honestly just saw them, and I beelined for them, and I was surprised by the price. Despite the height of the heel, the shoes were very comfortable, and I wore them all night. I paired it with a salmon pink purse from TJ maxx. I think this was a great look that’s subtle yet makes a statement, what do you think?
